While Jan is faced with a painful truth, Marcel and Philipp come closer to each other. In the meantime, Lukas is fighting with his anger towards his mother. Even though he hasn’t seen her for a year, he considers giving her another chance. But will it be a successful one?
About the series
Kuntergrau is a German-language gay web series about a group of five friends between the age of 17 and 24 who are dealing with everyday problems. The idea for the series was born as result of the feeling that while homosexuality is discussed all over media, the younger generation is not represented at all. This is exactly why the series is different than anything else.
The pilot of Kuntergrau was released in the summer of 2015. The rest of the series was released in the beginning of 2016. In March 2016 an Indiegogo campaign was launched to fund the second season of the series. The campaign was closed successfully by raising € 7,103.
The series is created on a voluntary basis by Cologne gay men between 17 and 27. The main characters are played by Fabian Freistühler, Daniel Printz, Moustafa Tarraf, Marcel Meyer and Daniel Kosic. The series’ key positions are filled by Kai Kreuser (director, author) and Max Jonas Fohrbeck (cinematographer, editor).
