Besides winning four Golden Globe Awards and BAFTA Awards, it won three Oscars at the 78th Academy Awards among various other awards. The film tells the story of two young men, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, who meet each other in 1963 and forge an unexpected, romantic and lifelong connection.
