The gay short film, 12 Points, tells the story of Jonas. When Jonas’ father is really enthusiastic about Conchita Wurst’s Eurovision Song Contest win, Jonas gets the courage to introduce his boyfriend to his parents. His father’s euphoria about tolerance and open-mindedness at the Eurovision Song Contest suddenly comes to an end. And unlike Jonas’ expectations, his parents don’t take his coming out very very well.

12 Points is an Austrian short gay film created by René Kmet especially for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. It stars Severin Mauchle (as Jonas), Christoph Grissemann (as Jonas’ father), Maria Magdalena Rabl (as Jonas’ mother) and Daniel Eckert (as Christian). The film was part of the official selection of several film festivals around Europe, like Festival du cinema européen de Lille, GSC Film Fest, Pink Panorama Luzern, Waterford Film Festival and the Wiener Video- und Filmtage.

12 Points is a lovely, surprising and beautiful short gay film. Everyone, gays and non-gays, Eurovision Song Contest fans and non-Eurovision Song Contest fans, should watch this film.
